System Pressure
The System Pressure
plays a very important role in the selection of a filter. Any filter used must
be able to handle the maximum pressure at the point of installation, otherwise,
the housing will burst, causing system failure, injury, and potentially death.
Housings are constructed of different materials, with different thicknesses, etc. in order to provide more economical, lighter weight, more compact models for systems that do not require high pressures.
The main factor in determining
what pressure to enter here, is the system pump pressure.
This program will automatically disqualify any filter series who's MAWP (Maximum
Allowable Working Pressure) is exceeded by the user input in this field.
